Dean Beadle: Journalist, Speaker and Successful Adult with Aspergers Syndrome

Dean Beadle is a successful adult with Aspergers Syndrome. He is an experienced journalist, and he tours extensively speaking about his experiences with Aspergers; discussing how he developed from a child considered a "monster" to an A-Grade Student. Dean's story highlights a humorous and moving personal experience of life in education with Aspergers, and proves just how big a difference parents and professionals can make to children on the spectrum.

Dean joins popular and inspirational speaker Sue Larkey in an enlightening and entertaining seminar which will give teachers, parents and other professionals key practical strategies for teaching children on the autism spectrum and how to make a real difference.

 *Morning tea and a light lunch will be provided.

Course Content:

Dean Beadle: Dean will discuss his life in education with ASD, good practices for working with children on the autism spectrum, and strategies to aide successful education.

Who should attend?

Anyone caring, living or working with someone with an autism spectrum disorder e.g. Teachers, Teacher Aides, SENCOs, School Principals, Counsellors, RTLBs, SLTs, OTs, PTs, GSE Staff, ESWs, Kindergarten Teachers, Psychologists, Paediatricians, other Service Providers, and Families.

Registrations can be made online, by fax to 06 845 2607, or by post on official registration forms only. If registering online you may make payment via credit card, direct credit, or post a cheque. If registering by post, please complete and mail with your payment to Creating Success, 15 Cromwell Point, Newlands, Wellington 6037.

All registrations will be confirmed by email (or post where email is not supplied) once payment has been received.

Numbers will be limited for each seminar so early registration is recommended.
